2. Mazar-e-Quaid:

 One of the most visited places of Karachi, Mazar-e-Quaid also known as Jinnah Mausoleum is the final resting place and tomb of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

The designing and structuring of the tomb was started in 1960 and was completed around 1970. It is constructed with white marble which gives off a very beautiful look. It is an iconic symbol of Pakistan and attracts a large number of tourists to Karachi.

3. Mohatta Palace:

Located in the heart of Karachi, Mohatta palace is a beautiful place to visit. Agha Ahmad Hussain designed it and it was built in 1927 close to the Clifton Beach.

A famous Hindu Businessman, Shivratan Mohatta constructed it for his wife who was sick and was advised to live close to sea. The palace was built in a traditional way by using jodhpur stones.

After the partition happened, the palace was then given to Muhtarama Fatimah Jinnah. She spent her last years there and now the palace belongs to our state. So this palace has historical as well as political roots.

4. Churna Island:

Churna Island, also known as charna island located near Kimari Town of Karachi. It is an uninhabited paradise located in the middle of the sea and covers an area of about 1.5km square. It has the most exciting attractions like scuba diving, jet skiing and cliff diving. 

Another exciting thing is that it is used by the Pakistan navy as a firing range. If you are someone who loves adventures then churna island might be a heaven for you. It is also popular for a wide range of sea foods like lobsters, crabs and other fishes.

5. Port Grand:

The entry ticket for port grand is 300 Pakistani rupees per person out of which 200 can be redeemed for any recreational activity.

Karachi zoo, also known as Karachi zoological gardens is the largest zoo in Pakistan and the second oldest zoo after Lahore zoo. Before partition, it was called as Mahtama Gandhi Garden. After Pakistan came into being, the name of this zoo was changed to Karachi zoo. It became open for general public in 1878 and since then, it receives a large number of tourist in a year. It is really a fun and interesting place to visit with your family.

Many exotic animals like lions, tigers, zebras, and alligators are kept carefully in the zoo. Other famous attractions include; Elephant house, reptile house, veterinary hospital, mughal garden And white lions.

7. Frere Hall:

Without a doubt Frere hall is the best place to visit on a trip to Karachi. It is a building in which British Complex Architecture from the Colonial Era is featured. Constructed in 1895, it serves as the town hall of the city.

It was converted into a Library and an exhibition place after the partition. It is open to the public and there is a book fair every Sunday.

8. Quaid-e-Azam Museum:

Flagstaff house known as Quaid e Azam house is located in the heart of the city. It has all the things that were used by the founder of Pakistan. Moses Somake, A British architect designed it. From 1944 to 1948, it was the residence of Quaid e Azam and after his death his sister lived there till 1964. Later in 1985, the Pakistani Government converted it to a museum.
